Natalia graduated from the Rural and Surveying Engineering School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 2015. She received her MSc in Geoinformatics in 2017, with specialization in Remote Sensing.

She is now a PhD candidate in AUTh doing research on “Mapping of Essential Variables using open source Remote Sensing data and cloud computing”, partly supported by GeoEsential Project. She is interested in studying Essential Variables (EVs) and Indicators, datacubes and cloud-based computing. Currently, she is working on geoscripting in Google Earth Engine, Python and R. Especially interested in connecting EVs to SDGs and plan to study the SDGs: 15.3.1 [Proportion of land that is degraded over total land area], and 11.7.1 [Average share of the built-up area of cities that is open space for public use for all, by sex, age and persons with disabilities], contributing also to the first Urban EVs as connection to GeoEssential to SMURBS.
